Green Valley Council

The Green Valley Council incorporated as an Arizona 501(c)(4) Corporation in 1973. Because Green Valley is an unincorporated community, the Council is an all-volunteer organization that serves as the community’s “Civic Voice.” It acts as Green Valley’s liaison for governmental relations with local municipalities, the City of Tucson, Pima County, the State of Arizona, as well as Federal and Tribal governments. The Canoa Ridge HOA is a member of the Council which provides us with a liaison to the various entities mentioned.

The GVC sponsors several forums and events throughout the year which will be posted here for you to review and determine if you wish to participate.

Check out their website when you have some time (gvcouncil.org). They also now have a Facebook page that will have updated event listings.

Also of note from the GVC is a program called Pima County MyAlerts. This system pushes out emergency messages to all types of devices quickly and reliably. Subscribers receive notifications about weather-related events, police situations, public health concerns, and other public emergencies. Subscribers can input their zip code to get information relevant to the area in which they live and/or work. Sign up at myalerts.pima.gov.
